CUSCO TO RAINBOW MOUNTAIN ITINERARY:
Rainbow Mountain hike starts early at 5am with the pick up from your hotel and drive you in our private van for about 2 hours to the trailhead in Cusipata. After relishing a local breakfast, you will start the adventure up to the summit. It normally takes one hour up and one hour back down. Vinicunca Rainbow Mountain trek offers entrancing views of the Ausangate peak.
Once you reach the summit, you will have plenty of time to contemplate the pristine views of the Andes and the Vinicunca coloured mountain or rainbow mountain hike. Our guide will be talking to you about the history and the Andean traditions.
Once you have had your fill of the Rainbow Mountain hike, we will begin an hour hike back, then we take our van back to Cusipata for lunch. After lunch, we will be driving back to Cusco city and drop you off in your hotel.We will be reaching Cusco by 5:00 PM.

Rainbow Mountain Cusco Peru Trek is not a challenging experience. Although, altitude could be daunting to some. We highly recommend that you spend at least 3-4 days in Cusco before the trek to avoid altitude sickness.
Best Time to visit Rainbow Mountain Cusco Peru:
Although you can visit Vinicunca Rainbow Mountain Peru round the year, the best time to visit is during the dry season, between March and November. During the rainy season, the trail often gets slippers and the mountain is covered in snow.
Although, the weather conditions in the Andes are unpredictable.
